Feast & Feast Week : The Church celebrates the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi on 4th October, and our Feast Week occurs around this date.

SLT Link : Mr Rayner (Senior Assistant Headteacher – Director of KS5)

A young man who gave up everything to follow Jesus. One of the most famous Saints of the last 800 years, a role model of service to those in need, care for all creation, and dialogue and peacebuilding between cultures.

Our Francis mural seeks to capture Francis’ love for, and ability to see God in all of creation, with animals and plants, and the sun and planets of the solar system forming the halo behind him. On the left side symbols of Judaism (the 6 pointed star) and Islam (the crescent moon and star) recall Francis’ work at interfaith dialogue, his legacy as a peacebuilder, and his followers’ continued custody of Churches in the Holy Land.
