Year 7 Knowledge Organiser

As part of our commitment to developing confident and independent learners, we are currently trialling Knowledge Organiser Booklets with Year 7 students for core subjects.. These booklets are designed to help students prepare effectively for assessments by focusing on the essential knowledge from each unit taught across the curriculum.

The booklets include guidance on four key revision strategies: self-quizzing, flashcards, brain dumps and mind maps. By explicitly teaching students how to revise effectively, we aim to support the development of strong study habits and improve long-term retention of knowledge.

This initiative will encourage students to take greater ownership of their learning, build confidence in recalling key information and support continued academic progress throughout the year.
